I like LED signals. They have better color, have instantaneous attack and decay (on and off way fast) which makes them highly noticable. This is awesome for safety. Plus it looks cool.
I used Lasfit LEDs. Stuff “B09S9WGSWY” into amazon to get what I got. They were $26 for a pair, which is about half what the incandescent ones cost, so a win all around.
Here’s a slow-mo video comparison of LED vs. incandescent:
Installation is kind of a pain. You can’t practically get at the turn signal bulbs without removing the headlight assemblies. You can’t remove the headlight assembalies without partially removing the bumper cover. You can’t remove the bumper cover without removing the grill.
That makes it sound like an enornous amount of work, but it’s not quite that bad.
Installation is reverse of removal, just make sure the washer of the bolt you loostened goes above the bracket, and that the housing is pushed in so the adjustment screw touches the car’s frame, it’s in the front toward the middle of the car.
The only other note is that the driver’s side is a bit more fussy because the windshield washer tank hose is attached to the diagonal bracket, and the wiring harness has a little annoying clip attaching it to the headlight assembly.
